Shopping at the market in the morning (10 min walk, supermarket same distance), breakfast on the balcony, a bike ride along the Schlei, dinner in one of the good restaurants in the evening and afterwards a wine on the balcony – that sounds like a relaxing holiday day.

The Schlei is just 10 minutes away by bike or car.
In Schleswig, you can enjoy various museums, take a cruise on Germany’s longest fjord or simply enjoy a sundowner cocktail in the harbour. You can also swim at natural bathing spots in the Schlei.
Of course, it’s also worth visiting Haithabu, Germany’s only Viking museum, and the Danewerk, the magnificent defensive rampart from the old days. From here you have an unforgettable view over our beautiful region. Both, by the way, are part of the world Heritage Site.

In just one hour you can be at the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. From Eckernförde to Husum to St. Peter Ording, everything is more or less on your doorstep. Denmark is also only 40 km away.
Lübeck is always worth a trip and if the weather is bad, a trip to the outlet centre in Neumünster is also a good choice. But here in the north there is never bad weather, only unsuitable clothes 😉
